Monographic Transfer
An
original invention, the Monographic Transfer is a unique process
that was created out of a lifetime of experimental artistic exploration.
The process is a merging of media and a blending of painting
and printmaking.
The
Monographic Transfer yields vibrant color and new possibilities:
virtually unlimited sized works can be created, either stretched
as a traditional canvas, or shaped and molded to form to the
curve of a wall or to soar to the highest ceiling as free-hanging
tapestries.
The
actual method of creating art has always been a critical component
of the artistic process. For a Monographic Transfer the image
is created using acrylic or watercolor paints, laid down upon
a plate. These layers are created using stencils and stamping,
with the artist mixing imagery, and mating painting and printmaking
in a unique fashion.
The
kaleidoscope of collage elements are then laminated together
and transferred to a specialized fabric, using a unique process,
resulting one of the truly innovative art forms of last century
- a Monographic Transfer.
